MCC ETS BT IPC QC Procedure
April 11, 2023
INTRODUCTION
This document explains procedures and steps to QC instructor PCs for the Business Technology center.
It is assumed that the person doing this task has experience with the basic QC of freshly imaged student laptop computers. If you do not have experience doing basic QC of student laptop computers you may need help with this procedure and these instructions.
The computer must have a working active wired ethernet connection with a 10.3.xx.xx IP address. Verify this before proceeding.
The PC will be assigned a name in this procedure. Make sure you know what the computer name must be.
The BT IPC computers are imaged with Windows V11, which looks and behaves differently from Windows 10 in some regards. The changes will be noticeable when running this QC procedure.
The image put on the computer may, or may not, require an update to MS Windows and updates to Dell drivers or firmware. Before proceeding please confirm with your team lead whether it will be necessary to update Windows, Dell drivers, or PC firmware. Detailed instructions for running Windows Update, BIOS Update, and driver updates are in the ETS QC Procedure for Student PCs. You will need access to this document if these updates are required.
